• The design process commences with a 1-1.5hr onsite consultation.

During this time, we’ll discuss your brief including lifestyle, aspirations, style preferences, project budget etc. This is an important step to ensure alignment prior to embarking on the design process.

If you’re unsure about undertaking a fully documented design, we offer one-off consultations where we can provide suggestions and expertise on ways to improve your outdoor space. This is a great option for DIY gardeners who are simply looking for inspiration, planting advice or guidance on how to execute.

  • Concept

Following the initial consult, we’ll undertake a detailed analysis to better understand your site’s conditions. We’ll then move to ideation - preparing a number of rough concept sketches, a mood board and some high-level plant ideas. We’ll present this to you, and seek your feedback to ensure we’re on the right path with our vision.

    Design Development

Once you choose your preferred concept, we’ll develop this into a bespoke, hand rendered design, as well as elevations which clearly demonstrate the intended outcome.

    Documentation

Once the detailed design is finalised, we’ll create a document package including a master plan, planting plan, plant schedule, soil, mulch, irrigation and lighting specs etc. This package will provide all the information required to plan your garden installation.

  • If you already have a design or layout which is working for you, we also offer a standalone planting design service.

Selecting plants which work well together is not easy to achieve. A strong understanding of plants and their associated characteristics is key to delivering a successful planting design.

While indigenous and native plants play a strong role in our designs, we also love pairing them with exotic species from the Mediterranean, South African and the Americas. Our approach is to choose plants which not only work well together but are site and climate appropriate and sensitive to sustainable water use.

  • Once your garden design has been completed, we’ll work with licensed landscaping contractors to bring it to life.

We have a network of trusted contractors who we work with to install hard landscaping elements, irrigation, soil, lighting etc. preparing the garden for planting. We’ll oversee the installation process to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Once the garden framework is in place, we’ll be on site to position the plants together with the contractor to ensure the design intent is achieved.

Construction cost is typically a function of both the size of the space and complexity of the design.
